Cooperation with Tibet Meteorological Bureau

From July 22 to 26, Prof. Li Lianshui, President of NUIST was invited to visit the meteorological work in Tibet. In the Tibet Meteorological Bureau, Deputy Director of Wang Pengxiang accompanied Prof. Li Lianshui to inspect Mainling County Bureau of Meteorology, Bomi County Bureau of Meteorology the Nagarze general national weather station and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, southeastern Tibet alpine environment integrated observing research stations, and the Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau exchange and discussion, and on behalf of the school to sign a cooperation agreement with the Tibet Meteorological Bureau.

On the forum, Wang Pengxiang introduced the formation, characteristics and the status of the development of meteorological cause of the climate in Tibet. He analyzed the effectiveness of cooperation Tibet meteorological and NUIST, expressed further cooperation to promote the career development aspirations of the Tibetan Plateau Meteorological and ideas, and appreciated NUIST for always talents cultivation and technology support. President Li first introduced the great achievements achieved during the past 50 years, of which the most important is a large number of distinguished alumni. He particularly praised the excellent performance of the trainees in Tibet in the 1980s, and looked forward to the prospect of cooperation with the Tibet Meteorological Bureau.
