Research Overview

Introduction of the Radar System Research Team
The Radar System Research Team currently has 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 9 lecturers, with 11 of them have doctorate degree; In addition, the team has employed two not full-time professors from foreign country. At present, there are 23 MS / PhD Graduates in the team. It has published over 120 articles, 26 for SCI and 73 for EI. It has more than 30 invention patents at home and abroad, of which 11 were from the United States, Japan, Europe and other countries. The main research direction of the team includes radar technology, microwave /millimeter-wave antenna technology, signal and information processing. The present research include Millimeter-wave radar key technologies supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Research on liquid fluctuation distance carrier frequency MIMO ultrasonic measurement method  supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, Model Theory and its application in multi-port frequency division multiplexing antenna supported by the National Natural Science Foundation. We have already finished projects such as Research on UWB / W-LAN small antenna etc. As one of the featured disciplines in Jiangsu Province, we have built up a large microwave anechoic chamber (8 m × 8 m × 17 m), and quasi-3m EMC laboratory, equiped up by 0 ~ 110GHz band microwave / millimeter wave and antenna test equipment, as well as HFSS, Designer electromagnetic fields and radio frequency (RF) circuit simulation software produced by ANSYS.
 
Introduction of the Modern Signal Processing Team
There are 9 teachers, including 3 senior teachers, 7 with Ph.D. degree, 3 with overseas students in the Modern Signal Processing Team, which is led by Guo Yecai, professor and doctoral supervisor, winner of the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, and cultivation target of Jiangsu Province Six Talents Peak.  Team research direction: intelligent information processing and communications systems, image technology and atmospheric acoustics and ocean acoustics . Research conditions: atmospheric ambient noise monitoring system, anechoic chamber, the ACTRAN acoustic calculation software and the DSP image development system. Main achievements: Host and participation in projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Excellent Doctorate Dissertation Special Fund, National Defence Ship Technology Basic Research Applications Fund, the Natural Science Foundation and Key Foundation of Jiangsu Province, cultivation target of Jiangsu Province Six Talents Peak; Punishment of more than 200 papers in domestic and international academic journals and international conferences, nearly 200 included by SCI, EI, ISTP; reporting and authorized more than 30 invention patents, 10 utility model patents and 30 software copyrights; punishment of 5 monographs, 1 teaching material for the Eleventh Five ccllege planning materials, 3 textbooks for graduate students and undergraduates as chief editor. 
 
Introduction of the Sensor Technology and Applications Team
There is currently 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 9 lecturers and 1 laboratory technician, 8 with doctorate degree in the Sensor Technology and Applications Team; there are several overseas consultants in the team and it has established a research partnership with foreign chip R & D and production enterprises. At present, there are nearly 20 MS/PhD students.The team members have published over 100 papers, including 10 included by SCI. Main team research direction: the sensor chip design, manufacturing technology, nano-devices, micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS), integrated circuit design and process monitoring and control circuits, meteorological exploration, technology and related software development. Team members have undertaken the major project of American MEMS chip design and fabrication and have finished many key projects supported by the special public service sectors of the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation, key projects of Jiangsu Science and Technology Support Program, etc. It has 1000 class super clean plant for semiconductor process and related MEMS packaging and testing equipment, has equipped with the ANSYS finite element analysis software, the IntelliSuite sensor chip design software and other related software.
 
Introduction of the Signal Detection and Instrumentation Team
There are 14 members in the Signal Detection and Instrumentation Team, 1 professor and doctoral supervisor, 5 associate professors, 8 lecturers. Team members have 12 people with doctorates, 2 returned overseas students, 2 academic leaders of Jiangsu Qinglan Project. Prof. Xing Hongyan, team leader, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, funded object of Jiangsu Province Six Talents Peak, national- level professional host Electronic and Information Engineering. Main research direction: intelligent and electronic measuring instruments, weak signal detection and processing, image processing and communications. He has hosted or participated approximately 20 projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, such as 863 pre-research project, the National Natural Science Foundation, with more than 200 published papers, of which 100 were included by SCI and EI. Prof. Hou has applied and obtained more than 50 patents, and compiled 3 textbooks. The team developed The automatic weather station signal simulator, which won the China Instrument and Control Society Technology Award. The team has won the a number of awards at city and department levels. 
 
Introduction of the Communications and Information Processing Team
The Communications and Information Processing Team is the one of the main teams established and it has several research groups, which specialize in modern communications and IT theoretical study, meteorological information technology research and system development integration, meteorological perception key technology and equipment study, industrial intelligent control technology and equipment R & D, Intelligent weather information processing mining and pattern recognition, etc. Team members have undertaken more than 20 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, Specific Fund for Public Industry(Weather), Jiangsu Science and Technology Support Program, Jiangsu provincial and municipal Bureaus of Meteorology and other agencies, with a number of research results; the team has successfully developed and promoted various products. Currently, there are 10 members with senior professional titles, and 15 key teachers. In the past three years, the team members were awarded with all kinds of teaching and research award prizes, built up many quality courses at campus, published 5 monographs, published over 100 academic articles, more than 90% in core journals, and over 20 articles included by SCI and EI.
