The school has primary disciplinee master program in Information and Communication Engineering and professional master program in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and also recruits jointly doctoral student with relevant Units in Atmospheric Remote Sensing Science and Technology、Atmospheric Physics、Lightning Science and Technology and Atmospheric Information and Safety. Since 2010, the school began to recruit the in-service staff to apply for the Electronics and Communication GCT engineering master program. The school now has 335 graduate students, including 271 full time graduate students and 64 part-time graduate students.

Among all the supervisors of the master program, there are 10 professors, 23 associate professors, 8 doctoral supervisors and 16 outside school supervisors. The discipline has 6 academic teams and the research directions can be divided into: Signal and Information Processing, Radar system, Instrumentation Technology, Communication Technology, Microelectronics Technology and Photoelectric Signal Processing and etc.

The School now has the Priority Academic Program Development of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions, Jiangsu Technology & Engineering Center of Meteorological Sensor Network, Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Meteorological Observation and Information Processing, and provides graduate students of high quality experimental sites. In recent years, the students published dozens of SCI indexed papers, twenty EI indexed papers and twenty patents.

In 2009 and 2011, two graduate students won the Jiangsu Outstanding master thesis title, and two University level Outstanding Master degree theses, and two supervisors won University level Outstanding supervisors at 2012. At 2010, the school won Priority Academic Program Development of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions program.

In 2012, the primary discipline Information and Communication Engineering passed the assessment of the Ministry of Education Degree Office
